What topics are covered in intermediate group classes?
We cover advanced grammar, idiomatic expressions, Portuguese culture, current events, professional communication, and practice all four skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing) with emphasis on fluency.
Can I join if I'm between B1 and B2 level?
Yes! We place students in groups according to their current level. We offer both B1 and B2 specific groups, and we can recommend the best fit based on your assessment results.
How much speaking practice will I get in group lessons?
Speaking practice is a major focus! Each 90-minute lesson includes at least 30-40 minutes of speaking activities including pair work, group discussions, debates, and presentations.
Are classes focused on European or Brazilian Portuguese?
Our classes focus on European Portuguese (Portugal), but we also discuss the differences with Brazilian Portuguese and help you understand both varieties if needed.
Can I request specific topics to be covered?
Yes! While we have a structured curriculum, we're flexible and incorporate student requests. If multiple students are interested in a specific topic, we'll include it in our lesson planning.
What technology is used for online group classes?
We use interactive platforms like Zoom with breakout rooms for pair work, shared documents for collaborative exercises, and digital whiteboards. All materials are shared via Google Classroom or Drive.
